Valve selector
Some tips for handling the sewage treatment plant:
– Always keep the water at the correct level, that is, halfway up the skimmer. If the water level is below the skimmer, the motor can run empty and therefore burn out.
– Never actuate the selector valve with the engine running. Almost all manufacturers also recommend handling it in a clockwise direction.
– If you are going to clean the engine pre-filter, close all the valves and place the selector valve in the “closed” position, of course with the engine stopped.
Filtered out
The selector valve must be placed in the "Filtration" position. It is the normal position to purify the water. The rest of the keys will be placed in the following positions:
– Open skimmer valve.
– Semi-open bottom stopcock.
– Suction valve/sweeper closed.
emptied
It is used to drain the pool. The selector valve in the "drain/empty" position .
– Closed skimmer valve.
– Open end valve.
– Suction valve/sweeper closed.
Washed
It is carried out when the pressure gauge of the filter reaches the red zone or is very close to it. The washing must be carried out until the water seen in the sight glass, which can come from the filter or from the selector valve, is clear. The position of the selector valve in "Wash":
– Closed skimmer valve.
– Open end valve.
– Suction valve/sweeper closed.
Rinse
It is used after each filter wash. The selector valve in "Rinse" position:
– Closed skimmer valve.
– Open end valve.
– Suction valve/sweeper closed.
Recirculation
Its usefulness is to circulate the pool water, normally to add some chemical product and facilitate its dissolution. Also to dissolve salt if you have a salt chlorination device. The selector valve in "Recirculation" position:
– Open skimmer valve. If what we want to add a product the water. The other keys closed.
– Open end valve. If what we want is simply to circulate the Water. The other keys closed.
– In short, the position of the valves is determined by our needs.
